Who think killing frogs or other poor innocent animals is cool.I don't think dissection is right!Schools should make a website that has virtual frogs so we can dissect those. It will save LOADS of poor animals every year!A LOT of kids don't like actual dissection because of the guts that come out.But if they do a virtual dissection there won't be guts!Did I mention it will save TONS of poor animals that if we did actual dissection the animals won't know what they are in for! "Okay, so i'm in 7th grade and a vegetarian, i have done so much research on what they do to animals, like how they kill them, for food and for dissections and it is horrible. so then i find out we're gonna be dissecting a cow eyeball, yeah, that's not as bad as a cute little froggy, but these cows were killed just for dissection. so, i tried talking to my teacher to get CDs or a website or something virtual. she keeps saying that it costs too much, YEAH RIGHT!!! so now all of my weekends are spent on the internet trying to find a free website where we can virtually dissect a cow eyeball. My teacher is kinda attached to dissections. I mean, she's been doing these for like twenty years or more and thinks it is the perfect way for a student to learn about cones and rods but she doesn't know there are better ways and i think she doesn't want to know. she won't take the time to listen to me. I'm gonna start a petition soon, I think. unless i can magically get sick on the day of dissection, but i don't think that's gonna happen. Well anyways, this website really helped me understand that i have the right to refuse, to change something i strongly believe in, and just stand up for myself!!! this website rocks, keep it going guys. "i seriously think dissection is the one of the worst things on earth!! i hate it!!! its mean, cruel, gross, and totally unnessecary! i mean seriously, what are we learning from dissection?!?!  when most people do dissection, they are either too grossed out to learn anything, or they arent even payin attention and just do it for the fun of killing an animal! believe me i know some sikkos that would do that!! its horrible and its not fair at all!! can u imagine what those little animals' families think about it?! havin their loved one taken away and killed just so someone can ahem, "learn something"?!.  its just the same as forcibly taking a person away from their family! animals dont have any less feelings than us and people need to respect that!!!!!!!  and dissection isnt the only way to learn!!!! there's lots of computer programs that people can use, i mean HELLO this isnt the stone age people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! usually i'm opposed to technology but in this case i think its great!  computer programs and texbooks are easier, cleaner, more humane, and most likely cheaper! sure you get to do hands on stuff with real dissection, but is it really worth killing an innocent animal???!! that just sounds selfish to me!!!!"

"Angela, what is your source for that info? Everything I have read says that the majority of animals killed for dissection were bred for that purpose. They didn't die of natural causes. AND just because an animal might be bred for a specific purpose doesn't mean they shouldn't have any rights or that they can't feel pain. Dissecting animals is dumb."

"Hey y'all, I no that this sounds rude cuz most yall r animal lovers, but disection isnt completely wrong! If the animals are killed for that use, then it is, but over half of the animals used for disection died a natral death, like old age, and some ppl even donate thier animals for the use of science. I think it is great that yall are standing up for wut u believe in, but u shudnt blame the teachers cuz they just have to do wut the laws and school say they have to teach. And dissection is only good for learning experiances, and yes from dissection there are new discoveries happening everyday! I dont approve of them killing the animals, but if the animal had a peaceful death and is donated for science and gets to be used for the learning experience then I believe it is completely fine! The only times I can understand not wanting to disect is when your squemish, or the animal has been killed! So get a life and face the music! DISSECTION IS NOT COMPLETELY WRONG!!!!!!!!!"
